Guardian Blade of the Heavens

models_13498_screenshot.jpg

This legendary blade's history comes from times past mankind, when the five gods, creators of our world, saw that the world they had created was impure, saturated with evil and darkness. They sought a solution and finally came up with one. Artnos, the god of creation, spawned a champion of pure light, his heart was clean and his intentions - just. Then Harkas, the god of war, tempered in the forges of the heavens a blade of tremendous power - Forging it from his own flesh and enchanting it with his own soul, this blade had the power of the gods himself. It was named after its creator, Harkageddon, Edge of the Heavens. Wielded by just hands and pure heart, this blade could banish all the darkness in the world, and so they gave it to their champion, the first seraph and champion of the gods, Arkadamon. He wielded the blade with true mastery and cleansed the world of its evil-minded creatures and demons. However, in time the champion began thinking about all the power he is wielding and sadly, the thought of power corrupted him. He turned against the gods themselfes and since he has been wearing their power, imbued into the blade, the gods were powerless against the corrupted warrior. Aeons of battles have passed, and neither of the two sides could overpower the other. Arkadamon finally took an opportunity and stroke Artnos, his creator, with the blade. Artnos could not resist the tremendous power of the holy weapon and perished from the universe. This was the first time a god had been slain and the rest of the gods started fearing the treat that could be their end. They used Artnos' last powers to create three races of creatures that would serve them in the war agains Arkadamon's corruption: Humans, Elves and Dwarves. The three races united as one and made a plan to beat the corrupted champion - If they can not defeat their foe in open battle, they had to separate the champion from his source of powers - the blade. So they stole the legendary weapon and delivered it to the gods, who in their turn, attempted to destroy the weapon. However, such power could not be destroyed, so they had to separate the parts of the weapon and hide it from Arkadamon until he was defeated. They split it in five parts, as the fifth was the gem containing Harkas' soul - the god of war who had sacrificed his body and soul for the creation of the weapon. They tried to free him, but the aeons of corruption has sickened his mind and he had become insane. They decided not to take the risk of releasing him and hid him away with the other parts of the blade. The weapon's power faded away in the aeons that passed to this day, and the three races who defeated Arkadamon were rewarded by the three remaining gods. The elves were granted by Karnalas the wisdom to control magic. The dwarves were taught by Korderon the arts of war and fighting. The humans were granted by Shelinna the scientific skills to create and control machinery. And so the three races lived in peace and cooperation in the now clean of darkness world with the gods watching over them from above. The legends say that to this day, the maddened god of war, imprisoned in his vault, has been trying to find ways to escape his prison, but only the magic of the gods could release him from the gemstone and only in the heaven's forges could the sword be reforged to its true potential and be wielded by the next champion of the gods, should the dark times return again...

This model is just a sword indeed. Swords like this one can be bound to a weaponless model, like the villager one for example. Here is a tutorial on how to do this. :)

Nice storyline for the model, Blood Raven. I read it, but they're also "themselfes" instead of "themselves".

But that's okay, i'd already read it enough. :infl_thumbs_up:
