Thanks, I agree actually. I tried a couple of different things with the background but this is the best way I managed to figure out.
It gets a bit harder when the object is supposed to be something as non-magical like this because I can't do any fancy glow or anything and just keeping it dark/black makes it look really empty. Oh well.
