It should be walkable from the start, if not loof for data fields that might make it so.
As for the pathing, you could try using the pathing brush to make the terrain able to be walked on and if that fails, give it a walkable terrain pathing map.
Well if I add the footprint manually (strange, there is "Mar sara" doodad and footprint, and they are not linked together ) OR change pathing to make the cliff walkable, it won't change the height map.
