Bounty and units

if you want a unit to give gold when killed, you can either trigger it, or, if all units of one player should give gold, use the trigger action: Player - set Player flag -> Turn gives Bounty on for Player X

i guess the thing you are after is the second one. in object editor you can set the bounty values for the specific units

The bounty (if turned on) is calculated by the dying unit's bounty-specific data shown in WE. The bounty is calculated in a way similar to the damage calculation (if you get what I mean), at least I think so.
