Blood Valley

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
One valley, the blood of many.

A small, strategy-filled 3v3 where 1 ally is separated from the other 2 over a vast valley.

My first melee map- unprotected of course :)
Feedbacks from you guys will be very much appreciated. :)

^ tell me why is that so?

{EDIT}
Ok... I've been checking on some melee maps here.... I can't believe this has been graded as low as some of the maps I saw that obviously really sucked!

Evan1993's Review for Blood Valley.

Blood Valley is a melee map with a more interesting and unique layout then most melee maps.

However it has a lot of the same problems other melee maps uploaded to the hive have, incorrect creep drops, balance issues, and poor use of the noise terrain command. It also seemed like it could use a neutral building in the middle, perhaps a fountain.

For information about item-drops and other aspects of melee maps, see blizzards melee map guide here.

As for the terrain, here are some tutorials you may find helpful:

The balance issues that struck me were that the neutral building (especially the taverns) were not the same distance for all players, there is only enough for two players on each team to expand, and the gold mines are totally in the open (mainly the expos but also the main mines to a lesser degree.)

In closing, Blood Valley is an interesting map, but needs a slight redesign for balance, and some polishing to be a playable map. I’d give it a 2/5. It is great for your first map, keep making them and they will soon be blizzard quality.

PS:
I'd love for people to comment on my reviews and suggest ways for me to improve.

Rui's review for "Blood Valley" (melee map by yujinn)

Too cluttered map: the layout is confusing and bad-looking; the texturing work is poor and there is no elevation at all; (nearly) no presence of doodads.

Neutral buildings are a mess. The expansion Gold Mines are placed in the middle of nothing, with no surrounding trees or anything. Goblin Merchants have a red creep camp guarding them and they're too far off.

Drops are the usual failure. By other words, they are bad (and that is the most polite term I could come up with). Two Gnoll Brutes plus a Warden shouldn't drop two items. Remove the lvl1 permanent.

I just can't find positive things on this map. Or wait, I think trees didn't have holes?
My rating is a 2/5 (Lacking). I vote for it to be Rejected.
