Bleach Wars 3.1c

Bleach Wars is an AoS between the Shinigami Forces and the Hollows of Hueco Mundo. There are 39 Heroes from the anime to choose from, each with vJASS triggered spells and most with custom models. Most Heroes have a special type of Ultimate (Ban Kai) which grants them new abilities for 90/120s. Each time they use these abilities, it consumes time from Ban Kai. However, when killing creeps or Heroes, time is restored. This makes it easier to distinguish better players as this system allows them to go on a killing spree. Each Hero has the Evasive Skills item that allows them to be immune to damage for 1.5s, with a 20s cd. This makes Bleach Wars a game of reflex, timing, skill and experience.

very unique style for an AOS map =D

I would have liked to put models on the characters, however, many of the models for bleach are not well done. It wouldn't match using bad models with the warcraft models. I only use blackstan models, because of their quality ;p.

New version is coming in the next month or so. New models for almost all Heroes. I'm adding creep scaling so creeps get slightly stronger as your Hero gets stronger. Next version will have new items ;).

*Spells are being changed for every Hero to make them more accurate to the anime. All Heroes will have 6 Spells, 1 Default spell and 5 that can be learned. All Heroes have an Escape spell that helps you flee or chase other Heroes. (Shunpo, Hirenkyaku, Sonido or Run)
-Edit: I'm actually going to make Byakuya's Ban Kai like the anime, it will disable Byakuya's attack when used.It will attack on its own or when ordered. When attacking, it leaves Byakuya defenceless. After attacking, it returns to Byakuya's side. In this phase, it can block damage for Byakuya.​

*Heroes bleed when weakened, losing health and movement speed.

The Ban Kai system is being implemented. Basically, most Heroes have a Ban Kai, an Ultimate which unlocks new abilities and makes your Hero stronger. When a Ban Kai is used, it activates a timer. When you use Ban Kai spells (e.g. Black Moon Fang), timer decreases by 10 seconds. However, when you kill a Hero, the timer increases by 15 seconds. When the timer hits 0, Ban Kai ends.

The best thing about this map is the fact that it has good AI players. Because of this even people (like me!) with really crappy connections can enjoy the map, and play it for practice for LANs.
Thought AI can be quite CPU heavy on older machines and the heroes lack flashy models, this is THE best Anime-based map around.

Keep up the good work!

Hey shinra, I've been playing your game for a very long time now, long before it was on THW. I LOVE it. The ai is great, but i have a few suggestions. Aizen for instance, his ability `Black Coffin`, maybe you could actually make it into a triggered power with an actualy box. Also, Momo doesnt really have all that many good powers. But apart from that you are my most inspiration map maker EVER! Please make more versions of this =D

Very good, like said before it would be a bit more fun with bleach models, good skills and comps are very challengeing. Item system is so far best i've seen yet.the turn off the AI thing idk if that works right or not. 4/5 :thumbs_up:.

Bleach Wars 2.2a with AI is out

It's been a while, but I've finally finished with the new version. I like to make one huge update instead of making dozens of small updates so there are major changes in this one. There are too many changes to list XD.

There are models now for most Heroes =). Item recipes have changed completely. The New Ban Kai system is in. Creeps have changed, they get stronger as the game progresses and there are now super creeps.

The biggest change is probably the AI. You will find them quite challenging when playing them the first few times. There is Easy/Normal/Insane. The only difference between Normal and Insane is that they get more health and experience. The difference between Easy and Normal is that Normal AI has better tactics.

I will upload the newer version to the Hive later. I have troubles updating my map with this account and I have to get the problem resolved by admin first. *Edit: Just uploaded it, trying to change the picture now :p

There should be a small gold income if i am near to an enemy unit which is killed. Otherwise if i have nearly killed an enemy unit and someone else gives the killing blow then i don't get gold for that. this happens a lot of times when there are many creeps of both sides.

Why is there a cool down before i can leave the shopping area?

i noticed a little problem. the soul society's lowermost lane's outermost shinigami guard and the same lane's outermost guard are a little unbalanced. in this lane when i play for some time and do not interfere with the two opposition's creeps then the hollow realm's creeps had an advantage. they were able to damage my guard but my side's creeps were not able to do that. In the uppermost lane it was reversed. i had the advantage. my creeps were able to damage the hollow realm's outermost guard but they were not able to do damage to my outermost guard. This lack of balance isn't much but it is noticeable.

i had used "Kurosaki Ichigo". when he moved then sometimes there occured a white thread like something behind it. what was that?

I haven't played the map much but it appeared to be quite nice. I will give it rating after playing a little more.
but still i can say GOOD JOB.

I absolutely love the Bleach Wars games, and I have played all of them to date, even the really wierd first one. This game is without a doubt the best Bleach game there is. However, there seems to be a glitch in this version. I dont seem to be getting my powers released with Bankai.

the white thread is from the model, trying to looks like the white bandage thingy he always has on his sword. Anyways..the map is quite good =) It's nice that there are more models now, though some of them are pretty strange lol mainly komamura's since he has no sword and his helm looks like leatherface's mask XD Good job with the AI tweaks.

My opinion on some suggestions.
-Bounty is earned when a nearby enemy unit dies

It's a lot more trouble to trigger than using the one that's default with the Warcraft Engine. I don't think this is necessary, because I have already changed it so creeps attack faster, but deal less damage, making it easier for Heroes to take the kill. Just target for isolated creeps or weakened creeps.

-Lane Problems
I never noticed this problem, but you may be right. It most likely has to deal with the positioning of the buildings. I'll try moving them.

-Ban Kai Powers
I'll test this later. Maybe you don't know, but the new spells are in the Spell book when Ban Kai is used. It's the Spell that's normally empty and doesn't do anything. Some Heroes will gain new abilities when activating Ban Kai.

Can I have some opinion on this? Some people think that leveling is too slow and the buildings are too strong. Thanks for reporting bugs and giving feedback :).

Regarding the bounty earned by nearby enemy's death. How much it is ? Does that depend over the enemy killed or is that same for all the enemies?

Regarding the leveling. Yes i have the same opinion that the leveling is slow. But not too slow. The slow leveling spoiled the interest in the beginning because it took me some real time to level the first few levels. But after getting some items i was able to do that a lot easier. My suggestion is that you add certain creeps in the maps at places you find appropriate and put on re spawn. that might take out the trouble of adjusting the experience given and help you in maintaining the balance of creeps. I won't advice that you increase the experience given by the lane creeps or decreasing the required exp for leveling up. that might spoil the interest i had in the playing this map. the low experience given might help you in making sure that people do not level up way too fast and complete the map in a meager time.

Regarding the buildings. Yes they are strong. But that counts only initially when the hero i used was not leveled up. After that the difficulty of the towers was not High. It was enough to make them look like proper fortifications for defense. If you still think that the towers are too strong then i would advise only to lower their health a little not their attack damage.

Regarding the soul. The soul is revived at the shopping area. I don't get this idea. Reviving at the main building would have been more appropriate. Also why the stalkers which attack the souls can be hit by the units? I am assuming them to be ghosts or stuff like that. Are the people of BLEACH are able to do damage the ghosts stuff too?(notice this map is first ever thing that i have used with bleach)

Regarding the cool down in shopping area. Forgot Replying that small thing?

As the map progresses and my hero leveled up then the map got a little slow. I am not totally sure if the leveling is the exact reason but there is definitely slowing down in the map.Now the map has became so slow(after nearly 1 hour play) that i cannot play this map any longer.

Is that possible that i use single player and the opposition hero's gets picked by the computer and the computer plays the enemy heroes? Like an AI for the enemy heroes.

A little idea if you like. The number of creeps in a lane should increase if one of the outer guards increase. Otherwise the guard of the other lane will be able to easily regenerate its health fully in due time. If you don't like this idea then you may consider an additional spawn of creeps when any guard of a lane gets destroyed.

In the item "Armor of Divinity" there is written "Left click to use". What for? there is no effect with the item.

In the bleach scoreboard the death and wait should be spaced out a bit if you can otherwise it is read "DeathWait". Initially i thought it was a time limit after which some event is supposed to happen.

once in the map a shingami officer was coming back to the base. i don't know for what or why but i noticed it one time. Thought i would tell you that.

The item quincy's bow is suppose to give +7 agility and 10% attackspeed, but it gives +7 int instead.

I know how to use Bankai lol I have played every version of this. It was Toushiro and Urahara I was having trouble with, their powers were remaining unrealesed. Also why did you remove the Tousen and Soi Fon models? Love this game ^_^

Looks like there's some bugs still. I'll deal with those quickly. I've reviewed the feedback and I agree that I should decrease the health regeneration of the structures (0.75 health / sec > 0.25 health/ sec) and increase the leveling rate slightly (+10%) in v2.2b.
I realize there's still bugs with the AI, they aren't the best, but I will change and hopefully improve them in v2.3. I will remove the special AI items and give them normal items later. The AI items were there since it was easier to code.

The Soul revive system can be turned off if you don't like it. There's a game mode, -nr (normal revive) which causes people to revive automatically. Souls will be acquired randomly when killing Heroes if Normal Revive game mode is on.

I will add -sm (Short mode) with increased experience and decreased structure health in v2.2b for players who think the game pace is a bit slow.

*I cannot use the Soi Fon and Tosen models, because the author won't give permission to use them

1.....Just had an idea for improving the problem regarding the low rate of leveling. why don't you place summoning of creeps at the meeting of the two realms? That way the experience problem might be solved.
2.....What is the maximum level in your map ?
3.....What is the big idea behind the cannons? They can attack anywhere on the map. you should limit their attack ranges to the outermost guards otherwise i can start attacking the innermost guards. can't i?
4.....I didn't say that i did not like it. It is a good idea compared to just instant revival and trying to reach the place of revival to avoid gold penalty. But i was just trying to give a suggestion.

I still love this map lol, Its a shame you couldn't get permission for those models, as your bleach game is the best one out there. You put other ones to shame! Also, i noticed some of your spells were copied out of the spell section. I would be honored if you could find a use for some of mine too XD

I've finished v2.2b. I just have to make changes to the models. (I use models without permission for testing purposes, I use models with permission for the official versions)
Most changes are minor, but they make a big difference to the pace of the game.

Zelda, answering some questions
1 - You mean moving the spawn area closer to the centre? I can't do that because once your Hero passes the spawn point, the creeps will completely ignore you, making them useless for defense. I've slightly boosted exp rates in v2.2b.

2 - 25 is the maximum level

3 - Limit the ranges of the cannons? I'll think about it, but the problem is that they aren't at the centre of the map so if I add a range limit, the cannons can only focus attacks on the lanes they are closer to.

4 - If you don't revive at the shopping area, you'll be camped :p.

5 - AI uses AI only items. You'll see what I mean.

Great Game and Some improvements I would like to see

Hey Shinra, great job on bleach wars 2.2a, very fun and a huge improvement in terms of heroes and gameplay compared to ur older versions. But there were some stuff that was troubling on the map such as:
1. Pretty laggy, is it because of the big file size, the fact that most char are skinned, or just alot of content?
2. If that is the case, then maybe you can remove some stuff, like the unpopular heroes (ex: (9th espada, hinamori, Izuru, Kaien, etc.)

Other than that great game and for the next version I hope you:
1. Fix some of the hero/item bugs (ex: Kenpachi's forward slash is glitched, it doesnt rly hit anything in front of him/do dmg and some of bankai's such as Toshiro's didnt have their powers activated when you used the bankai)
2. Add skins to the more popular heroes (Ex: A skin on Kyoraku would be kick ass, and on tousen/soifon)

Yeah and other than that like I said and others as well... GREAT GAME, Keep it up and dont give up on it!

No i meant placing the spawning of some neutral creeps at the place where the the opposition's places meet.

    pretty good, one of the best AoS maps with the bleach theme I saw. I would like to point out that the AI's might be a little too strong :p

    Even though this might be the case, the low fps (got 4-8) made the map pretty much unplayable after 20 minutes.. this pretty much shows you have leaks here and there.

    looks fine imo, nothing in the way, nice scenery nonetheless.

  • [~]originality [5/5]

    Well its still a bleach AoS so its not that original. However this is a map that really makes it worth playing over and over. I can't make any negative comments about this so I think this is worth 5/5

    Everything seemed to work fine, we only had some issues like an AI hero that got stuck. It seems more bugs regarding bankai's were found.

  • [~]objects [3/5]

    Hm about the units.. I saw a lot of menos skins out there that are allowed to be used, but you mainly used crypt fiends and ghosts as the dark side, which could be done better. Also the units for the soul society side were just footmen.. the spells do look good on the other hand and the hero avatars are nice too.

    large map, everything fine here. creep spawns collide nicely..
