Blade Barrier Model

If any of you guys have played TOB, you'll know what im talking about. Basically i need the Blade Barrier model (yes it is a model) but, the green trail needs to be red, and the daggers more dark. PM me if you want to, since this is a private request.

edit: okay I didn't realize that you already have the model, ask the original makers of the model for permission on edits, since its tides of blood, its most likely chriz's/erwrt just ask them before anything happens

damn erwrt. wont let me change the damn outdated blade barrier model. well he says all it is is just 2 fan of knives rotating around the caster, so its kinda like bladestorm.

Get irfanview, use wc3viewer to convert to tga then do it from there. Skin the fan of knives model, find it in the mpq.

Thats because it uses Textures\ArrowMissile.blp texture.
Open up the Fan of knifes mdl in the mpq and press ctrl i and see for yourself!

Open the expansion mpq *file, open mpq war3x* search in abilities night elf fan of knives.

yah, im using viewer to check out the mpq. there is no fan of knives anywhere in the night elves section.i even tried searching its full name like abilities\something somerhing

Prolly is under replaceable textures or something. See if you can find it with MPQ master or Wc3Viewer.

i am using wc3viewer. fan of knives doesnt exist in it, i even searched it.

Then try MPQMaster. It should be in the tools section.

Remember to try ALL 4 MPQs.

Hmm, get it reskinned by someone. Or, tint it darker with Irfanview. After you convert the .BLP to a .TGA in Wc3viewer, of course.

hmm, if i skin it, and i also use the blade barrier model ingame, wont it make the blade barrier model darker?
and what i want is the green trails to be red. aswell as the knives being darker.

You want the knives darker, that's where the tinting comes in. It won't change the entire model.

Green to red... Can't help ya there.

and thats all i really wanted. to change the blade barrier model's particle emitters (right?) into a dark red color, and make the knives slightly darker.
however, erwt hasnt given me permission to edit his model.
he says its just 2 fan of kives missles rotating around a caster.

Ok, wats to be done here?... If you reskinn the fan of knives, youll have to import the skin and probably have to change the path in the model!

ok, right now it looks like this... Im not shure where the yellow emitter is... Cant find it in the mdl file... You need to import the all files 4 it to work...

hmm, isnt it like the "green/yellow glow" texture? the knives look spectacular tho.

Yeah, thought so 2... I even changed the "textures\yellow_glow3.blp" to textures\red_glow3.blp. But that didnt change the yellow/green glow...
That pisst me off 2!

Edit: Wait, i think i found something... give me another day!

The knives now have red tails. In the screanshot u cant see it that well because of the redish ground...

edit: it seems like i cant see the red trails, even on grass terrain.

Wierd! Ill check it out again...
No file paths, just remove the "war3mapImported\" from all files...

i think its just cause the stream is so thin. ill give it a look when i get back home.
EDIT: it doesnt look different maybe if u change it to black we'll notice it, or if u can increase particle size
