*Sorry I posted this in the wrong page. I'm not sure how to move it to world editor help though*

So I'm making a simple map right now where the players will construct very small armies and try to hold out as long as they can against endless waves of enemies.

The trouble is getting the waves to work together.

Basically I'm concerned about people taking advantage of WC3's exploitable AI to aggro just a few enemies at a time, lure them far away, and kill them separately from their allies.

Now in ladder games there's a handy button near the minimap you can click to toggle your units staying together in formation or not when ordered to move as a group. Is there a way to make a group of units ordered to move by trigger use that formation setting to stay together?

You'll need to make a basic AI to maintain cohesion for the waves. Sadly, I lack AI knowledge.

I did think about making a simple AI to order units to move to one another or the like. Currently I'm testing what happens if I 1) set all units in the same group to have the same movement speed and 2) increase the call for help radius significantly. I'm hoping that change 1 will make the units tend to stay together on their own and change 2 will make it hard to get one far enough away to isolate and kill him.

I'll also try ordering them as a group instead of individually though; I forgot one could do that.

Ordering them as a group would still not prevent baiting issues (the aggro exploit you mentioned) though it will be a little tricky (you need to bait them while the majority of the group is engaged).
