Beautifully Generic Alternative Grass

After an extremely long time in the remaking and with the help of Jim, the Grass tile is finally done. Sort of.

Being forced out of the drawing board rather soon on the grounds that I am having trouble with the rim opposite of the shadow.

Update - After comparing it to the rest of the grass textures in WCIII, I found that this creation was a little too pale/dull, so I sat down with a bowl of noodles and a few hours later this is the product.

Changes
  • Added more green tone
  • Fixed trim to be less flat
  • Added Lighting along the left and lower borders
  • Increased color vibrancy
  • Removed pale hue
  • Decreased color vibrancy
  • Lessened blue in favor of yellow (Looks different from Lordaeron Summer Grass now)
  • Added Stan0033's Cityscape grass tile variant

The upper shadow feels a bit dominant, but in-game it is overall okay.

Maybe add one or another small, tiny variation, as you already did.

Yeah, I tried to add a bit of lower shadow, but kept messing it up. I'm on the hunt for someone who can clean it up better than I.

As for variation, I ran out of ideas for the remaining squares so I ended up performing the cardinal sin of copy-pasting tiles.

Open your editor > Open your map > open the import manager > Import the texture > Edit the destination path to the following > [TerrainArt\Village\Village_GrassShort.blp] without the brackets.

It won't work immediately, you'll have to save your map, exit out of the editor, and reload the map in order for the tiles to render in.
