Battlefield 2 (DE) Install Error

Not sure if this even belongs here, but I'll give it a shot anyway...

After BF2 Deluxe Edition installs, that is, it's basically still in the installation, when all the Gamespy installation etc. windows are popping up, where there's usually the microphone window, it pops up with a message... see the screenshot for it.
I'll get the exact message soon, as I'm reinstalling soon. I'm trying patching first.
Now, to the actual problem. It says its installed fine etc, but when I try to run a game, it crashes on the start of the game. When I go to Options>Audio, it crashes. Concerning audio, I use soundmax and a built-in Sound card on my ASUS P5B.
If anyone can help, please do

I really don't know what could be the problem. But can you can help me with BF 2142 deluxe edition?

Since I'm having the troubles with that, no, but I don't have that game anyway XD. I would if I could.
