Summary of the map gameplay/objectives
There are two game modes
King of the Hill
Hold the centre point for a certain amount of time to win. If the player moves all his units out of the centre they will still get points until the other player enters it.
Normal
Destroy the enemies Base to win.
Map features
-Much better terrain (Thanks to meatfactory who made the template that this map is based in. At least I think it was meatfactory...)
-New unit class, The Magician/Healer.
-Heroes, although I have only made one ability per hero at the moment they will have the full 4 by the final version.
- Items, again I have not made all of them yet but there will be quite a few in the later versions.
- A (very basic) Custom Loading screen

If you do download this map then please review it. What is the point in downloading it if you are not going to review it after all?

EDIT : 15th June 2010 : I have uploaded the Final version of the Beta.
New Features
- Hero's abilities are almost finished.
- CTF Game mode (again, Thanks to Tjordell)
- The two base buildings are now invulnerable in King of the Hill Mode and CTF.
- Decreased the level limit to 20 from 40 considering level 40 heros are much too powerful for the units to cope with.

Left to do.
-Last Items need creating.
-Needs to be tested properly.
-Add TheSilent to the ingame credits.
-Add background information on the two armies to the quest log rather than just having it on the flag items.
-Anything pointed out by you.
I have now finished my GCSE's and so can properly work on the map!

*edit* ok tested the map single player, getting my friend to try it lan with me but for now the game play looks like it could be fun and the music is just..... so sweet it gets you into the mood for killing stuff aha, yah well anyway, maybe increase shaman range just a bit so they can get a hit in before there enemy that was a bit of a problem , because the shamans died a bit to quick, k will edit again when i play with my friend.

Miscellaneous info like credits is in the quest log, If they actually still show up.
The creator name is on the loading screen
The stage of the map is on the download link but it is a Beta (My opinion)
Map features - Again, check the quest log
Map name is at the same as the name of the thread and is also on the loading screen.
Objectives finally are yet again... In the quest log.

If that is not what you meant then can you please expand because I don't really understand.

Point!
  • Item - Create |CFFFF8C00Player 1 Flag|r at (Center of Rect 011 <gen>)
Center of Rect 011 <gen> will leak - Create variable point and then delete it with
call RemoveLocation (udg_variable name)

This one is only example there is many more point or location leaks!
-GAMEPLAY:
Terrain looks ok
UI I don't like icons, bash, incarnate etc use BTN icons not PAS
Systems/Modes Hero selection system can be created with dialog buttons so player click and pick hero at start!
Maybe you can create help mode (-help me) and each 15 or 20 sec simple message is written for that player what to do! (example)
Red player can also pick game mode (dialog buttons)

Ok, but several things.
1. When you say don't use PAS icons what do you mean? I understand that PAS most likely stands for passive but I still don't understand. Do you mean use autocast icons/ Manual cast icons.

2. I'll look into the Dialog buttons and find out how to do them.

3. CTF Triggers where made by someone else (look at the credits to find out) as I know nothing about how to create them so I am not sure how to fix the leaks even with you saying that. I'll have a go though, or get him to do it.

4.Terrain was downloaded from here on the Hive so I have nothing to do with that.

(Sorry for my "idiocy". But I hardly know anything about mapping, only playing the game.)
 
1 Yes you should use passive skills for passive abilities it looks nice that way, we import new icons and use .../PASiconname.blp etc etc for them, but they can work also as BTN! (well hard to explain just use passive icons ok :D)

How can i play capture the flag?...And where can i buy a hero?

It should come up.
-CTF selects Capture the Flag

Also, you do not buy heroes. You select one by typing one of the following
-Warrior
-Spy
-Tech


It even says this in the massive block of text that comes up at the beginning, although the finished version will make this a little more clear.
