Played it and the idea of Villager race is just really awesome. I also like the fact that almost all of the units are custom models yet they still retain the original look of the villagers. This is a very enjoyable melee map but there still some things that i just want to point out. Balance is alright other than the 'Villager Warrior' being so freaking OP with its passive skill Bash with a 25% chance of stunning enemy for 2 seconds. This is just OP when 'Villager Warrior' is spammed just like what I did against the nightelves which made their Heroes basically useless because they're always stunned.
Archer's skillset doesn't fit him at all I don't mind uniqueness but if you're a guy who excels on Fire Magic would you seriously use a Bow when you can just ignite your enemies? If you really want to blend a Mage and Archer then at least give him a skill or two that is appropriate for an Archer.
I was actually hoping to see some custom triggered/coded spells here because you told me before that your new Altered Melee will have it. Oh welp. I want to see this Villager Race on a bigger melee map (maybe 4 or 6 players?) will be more enjoyable to play with more people. Also you might want to give AI a chance to play the Villager Race.
Its a enjoyable race but it is missing some kick(custom spells for the heroes? a couple more units and buildings?) it will go to my book with a 3/5 rating but I won't officially rate it now because I want to see you improve it more.
I do agree with jayjay here. It's pretty fun otherwise. No rating for this. I see that you have quite a large collection of good quality melee and altered melee maps. Awesome.
how about "chicken" race? cool? no?
well, I like the idea of villager race but it does need more thingies like more building, more unit variation (not sure). As sonofjay have said above, some triggered custom spell will be cool, try to pick some of simple spellpack at spell section or just make your own
