hello people ive got another problem with my map its size is 7.61 mb and im told its too large when i try host on b.net but the limit is 8 mb so could someone tell me what im doing wrong please
thats not the thing when i attempt to host my game on b.net it says map too large choose another map meaning my map is too big to be hosted but its under 8mb so i dont understand why it says too large
Only about 3+ minutes per download. Seeing how slow the average ADSL is this is to be expected. Obviously if you got fiber it will be like 15-30 secs a download.
Problem is not download of the client, but upload of the host.

Is it under 8 MB? Right click it and choose properties to see the actual size. Also make sure you are using the lattest version of WarCraft III (although you should as BattleNet requires that).

The problem is due to the fundimental flaw of ADSL, slower upload than download.
I can download maps at up to 1 MB/sec. I can only upload at 50 KB/sec. Thus it takes me as little as 8 seconds to download a full sized map but as long as 3 minutes per person to upload a full sized map.
Most people in the world do not have cable or fiber. These technologies have much better upload to download ratios.
Obviously if my brother joins he will download the map nearly instantly due to the 1gbps LAN we have. However anyone joining through the internet will only download at 50 KB/sec (or less).
