There's nobody actually capable of handing out contest awards right now. Brilliant, innit..

And Respected User Awards were removed, CR. I don't know what other awards you may have (or have had).

Aw sad face. That is the only award I had...

why was it removed?
felt kinda good to have a badge of recognition for 7 years of work I put into the hive and its community...

I don't know why it was removed, nor who removed it, but it was not put back because certain people within the staff did not approve of all the users awarded with it. Not saying you're one of those who, according to said people, did not deserve it, but that because more than one did not deserve it, they were not reinstated.

Even better, the staff do not know who removed it and he wont reveal himself.

Ok, well that makes sense to remove the award if many undeserving people had it.

BUT, The user dealing with the disconnect from the admins and the mods like that makes the user feel like NOT-participating in this forum.

And Iam surprised that this forum is STILL alive, I though it would die years ago, its an old game now, and many people dont play it anymore like they used to.
And many people left the forum to do something else. Dalein is good example.

Last thing they need to do is keep the remaining users in the dark about things.

Thanks guys for the information!
What would I do with out you all...

Just sad-faced for not having that award anymore, felt deeply honored and happy when I got it.

CRAZYRUSSIAN you don't need an award to prove that you are awesome.

Oh I don't know, he just seems a lot less awesome to me now that he has no awards. :ogre_hurrhurr:

Any forum that has the staff is doomed to events like this.

Were there any recent resignations, or unexplained periods of prolonged inactivity within the staff?

-Archian got promoted then showed up for 1 week, that's his record, now once every 3 month we are lucky if he shows up with a post in a thread.
-Kwah checks in once a month and help in moderating
-Wherewolftherewolf disappeared D: and was last active in 2011
-Pyritie resigned from Admin position and became an offtopic mod, he shows up in chat once every week/2 weeks.
-Pharaoh_ was Promoted to arena mod along with me and is doing 80-90% of the job in it.
Those are the ones concerning me and my sections if you didn't know and was curious.

A case that, judging from the nature of a few of his last posts, I wisely predicted would happen. Everyone only tries to fix some of the things that are wrong for some time, then they give up. I remember saying to him «judging from your posts, you're the next one out» on the chat, and so it was.

strange. i was sure that post was as on topic as the thread starter's post was.

no rui. i dont want drama. i want a resolution. why is it so hard to identify the person who has gotten rid of the award? why is it so hard for them to just specify a reason?

its not like we want to kill them or blame them for anything. just want an answer to a question that rather seems very important and needs answering

No. CR asked what happened to it and the answer is «it got deleted». Who did it is a different question that's already been discussed. Internally.
It is not «hard» to find the person, it's impossible, because there are no records, therefore, there's no way to figure out who deleted it. For example, I've been doing some award cleaning and nobody seems to have noticed. vBulletin doesn't work like that. The few things that actually leave a record are stuff that Ralle bothered coding. Everything else is done in the dark.

Also, yes, the question does seem rather important, more than the answer, apparently, that was my point.

The award is gone. The people who had it don't care. Move on already.
