Oh man, what the heck? This guy? I like this thing waaaaay better than the ghoul-thing you posted for the actual Contest!

This guy just oozes coolness. It's like a floating owl-man, which I've definitely not seen before. He's got cool clothes & a cool staff & a sick head & team-color eyebrows. I repeat, Team-Color Eyebrows.

His animations are Just Fine; I'll admit a weakness for "floating dudes", but you've done a great job with them. His SFX... ooh baby, I think I got a case of the vapors. Sometimes I'll see a custom model's SFX & think "hey, one of those is pretty cool; maybe I'll open Magos & see how they did it". For this guy, that's like every SFX. Slam, Spell, Spell Two... Geez, man. Love what you've done. And then Death! This guy is too good for death, so he just apparates into another dimension. Just, y'know, Portal into the Nether, that's all.

Very cool, man. I hope I can find a place for this.

The reason I didn't go with this entry during the contest, was that it was simply too good for a Familiar of the Archmage. Everything about it screamed "Hero", not "Sidekick".

edit. Can't get this model to load on a unit. I have 30+ other working imported models in the map so i don't think i'm making some basic mistake, but i am new at this so possibly.

Yeah, I can confirm this model no longer works as of the newest patch. I loaded the same map that had the model on two different versions of WC3, 1.29 and the newest patch, and it only worked on the former. Really unfortunate =/

It is likely due to some skin that was deprecated and is no longer included in the game files.

Edit: For anyone interested, the broken textures were the Water Textures and the Frostbolt texture. I have attached a version of the model that is compatible with 1.30

I mean technically the eyebrows are... but I agree it needs more. : )

This model sweats charisma, but it is a shame it has so little TC.
An alternate with it would be most welcomed ; and regular death too.
