Hey everyone...

i am quite busy as i am closing in with exam.. they begin at 12 august and end at 28th.

I would be trying to find spare time to check for pending map that are way too obvious in rules violation or with the least download.

In the mean time as well, i would check for approve map that does not deserve approval or no longer fit to be in approve stage.

I might need 1 person to assist me in checking approval map while the rest are purging the pending map.

What kind of approve map deserve rejection?

-No longer compatible (Means they are not playable at patch 1.24).
-Invalid author name.
-Messy, poor or without description (Except for map uploaded between 2004-2006).
-Tag abuse (Use excessive tag such as melee, maze, mini-games and so on).
-Too much bug that affect gameplay.
-Heavy memory leak.
-Edited map (With/without permission).
-campaign without all map included. (If there is missing chapter or map that are not at beta stage, it deserve rejection)

What kind of approve map can be cast aside during the reviewing procedure?

-Map with description which are well elaborate along with proper structure.
-Map that are extremely popular and have multiple detail review such as Diablo 3 and The Chosen One.

If map deserve to be reject.

-State your reason. (3 main critical reason)

If map stay at approve.

-Ignore it, there is no need to wrote anything.

I strongly against edited map to be approve at hive. No matter what excuse it was or even if the origin author gives permission to edit their map, edited map are rarely being edit to a better stage and despite the proves provided by the user itself. it is always easy to have the proof being tampered.

map section are not like other section, it is the hardest section to manage and thus require a much tough restriction.

Thank you Septimus, as much as I love to help you out with this, I get a list of about 100 maps a day to reject/approve and additionally I also check some maps myself.
However, whenever I find a gap in my schedule I will see what I can do.

Usually these maps are over a year old, although there are always exceptions.

Map can be leak and bug free, with nice name and description but with terrible terrain and boring gameplay, should I report this one 2?

We make an exception for the terrain and replayability values if it follow the submission rules of having decent description and bug free because

1) Replayability values are not related to the rules. It would be rather bias for rejecting a map that are well develop (bug free) just because you think it is boring. Replayability values varied from user to user.

2) The same goes to terrain as well as some of the terrain are hard to be judge based on the genre it goes. For example, an maze sliding map cannot have too much destructible/doodad usage as it might be an obstacle or causing an lag ingame due to the usage of it.

3) This is not epicwar.com that accept all kind of shit, but we are not wc3c either that ask for perfection in everything. At this site, we just want a bugfree, playable and follow the rules map.

I know that but I was thinking about maps like:
100000 random placed units, no any kind of game modes or difficulties (in arena map type for example), with no more than 5 tiles on the ground for terrain and below 500 doodads in 192x192 map -.-

Nah you know what I wanted to say, horrible maps are horrible there is no need to keep them!

Btw I already checked some maps in my free time, just like this one: Click
