Hi,
So I set up 3ds max 5 on my machine and installed art tools etc.
I now want to make some particle/ribbon emitters and therefore looked at tutorials in the tutorial section.
Now I have come to the point, that I want to animate values of the emitters other than position, rotation or scale, but, e.g., the textureslot of a ribbon emitter to make it have an animated texture.
In the Art Tools documentation it says "Texture Slot – Pick the index number of rows and columns, and animate this number to get a cycle."
I created the ribbon
Used this texture
So I made a bezier float controller with stepped tangents in the track editor like this:
And added the keyframes and set it to cycling.
In 3ds max the textureslot animates fine:
In the Previewer however, it stays at the starting slot.
I have no idea why it doesn't animate, any hints?
