Animated alpha

Im trying to make an effect that is 50% visible when it starts its' animation and then fading to 0% visible in the end and I am using magos. But for some reason I can only make it either 100% visible or totally invisible. Why is this?

Set the filter mode to AddAlpha if you want the material to appear luminescnt and to Blend if you don't. Transparent does not work with linear alphas.

Sorry but that didn't really help. How can I make it seem to fade out over time?

In the bottom of the panel where you adjust the transition, you have a list titled "Interpolation Type". Select "Linear".

Open geoset animation maneger and create a new animation.
123: 0.5
456: 0

So if animation lasts from 123 to 456 frames you will get it slowly fading away from 0,5 visibly to zero

Hmm the very weird thing is that these things you are explaining to me is the exact things I have tried which to me seems like pretty good proof that it should work, yet still it won't :/

Set material to additive (you could consider it 50% visible), then just make a geoset animation with animated color that goes from { 1, 1, 1 } to { 0, 0, 0 } with linear interpolation.

That will make it smoothly fade to invisible.

Additive works, magos can't handle it like the other filters... is really buggy. Test your model in world edit or in-game.
Also I made a fast test to show you that will work.
