Here are two pieces of advice I was given when I was a very young boy that have profoundly affected my life. I can safely say that the success of my life has pretty much come from understanding this, so I give it to you all in the hopes that maybe one of you will listen as well and learn from it.

Treat life as a business.

What this means to me is everything you do with real people needs to be able to get you somewhere you want to be, to further your edge and goals in the desired direction. It may sound petty or corrupt or any other number of things, but remember that you have to live with yourself more than anything else. If you do not like the face looking back when you shave then you are not living well no matter your money, but if you cannot afford a mirror you are not helping yourself.

Everyone has a price, those who cling to values have a slightly different price than money.

Remember you can buy out just about everyone and get a better position out of it. Very rarely does the King ever truely rule, the majourity of the time it is his treasurer who pulls the strings of the realm.

i like this:

"listen to the streets, they will talk to you..."

i think it means be aware of where you are as in you location and them make dicitions based on that. whatever the case it is wise to treat people differently and act differently in different places. respect your surrounding and they will respect you. or mabey some nut job just thinks the pavement can talk :S
