oh wait ill say something useful: How come the stick they cook the meat on doesnt caught fire itself ? Maybe make it another material like metal or something.
Flames displayed Green in the viewer, i presume its normal like in your screenshot.

I really don't know what it is, but for some reason after placing it down I cannot select it anymore. Neither in the editor nor ingame - plus there is no fire for me

I have the same problem. I have to drag-select it. It's... flawed?
