Adding item abilities through triggers

When i add the "Critical Strike (item)" to my hero via

• Unit - Add ability to myhero

it shows up in my hero abilites, but when i add something like "Item Armor Bonus +1" it does not ? Shouldn't item abilites be hidden ?

I think that only certain item abilities don't display an icon in the Command Card; most of the +X abilities are like that. The rest act like regular abilities unfortunately, so you'll either have use the disabled Spellbook method or set the icon coordinates to 0:-11 to hide it.
