i like the concept but i have to say that in the first screenshot of Velhilmen the trees are somehow not fitting....they would fit much better in a swamp or something like that....but its just my opinion.


[offtopic] where to get these runed ground tiles you have in the picture for the 'Ekrom Army' ? i really like it ^^[/offtopic]

Part of the terrain looks really awesome, even though you used blizzard cliffs (!)/lordaeron summer tileset (!!)/some ugly ingame doodads(!!!) but you managed to make it look good, like I have never seen it before with these things.

Although, there are a few screenshots I don't like, where everything is just too plain, the wrong doodads where used and and and. Try to work out the vegetation a bit more and all the natural places, the cities and towns look good!

so. about that runed ground tile, is a skin for naga platform. here is the link , credits to Mr.goblin.

about the unfitting trees: i made that terrain thinking on dry roots forest (old forests). That screenshot does not help so much to show that place so i just added more screenshots in velhimen gallery.

PROXY: yeah, if you play the map there are some areas that are not finished. just plane terrains, all still in develop.

Lordkon: true, there is not much info about skills, because skills work does not started yet. dont worry. im just finish item and skills work is comming.

okay thanks for the link ^^

then to the trees again....i still dont like them there....the trees itself look really good...perfect for a swamp (just some of them with increased size....perfect *.*) but they look really unfitting there....and especially in the second and the third screenshot where you put masses of them in an area. i would recommend to replace them.

then the tiles...make them vary more...you placed them to much in blocks...good to be seen in the last 3 screens of velhimen or the screen of lasthope.

then the first screen of ekrom....the runed tiles look like they dont belong there...

also...on the screens of ekrom you placed brownish trees and bushes on a green ground...they look (at least in my opinion) a bit too much autumn-like/dry for the green grass everywhere...

then the river in the second screen of valdivia looks strange...its calm at the beginning then it rushes extremly and then its calm again suddenly.

and last but not least 2 general things i wanna mention...avoid using wc3 cliffs (i redo the whole terrain of my map at the moment because i used them^^) and also try to 'link' 2 different areas together...dont make area X with green trees and grass and everything lives and grows and then suddenly everythings dead and dark and so on (saw it on the fourth screen of valdivia). (i dont know the word to say it in english but link should be understandable i hope^^)

i hope you dont hate me now ^^ i know im not a terrainer and so its just my opinion but these things i recognized and so i mentioned them. +rep anyway for the work you did up to now ;D

looks cool, your english skills could use some work.

Also, if you publish this map here, it will get denied. Either you used skins from RO (as seen by the item screenshot) or u have one damn of a 3D artist

Item art and icon art are inspired on RF. but i make all those models (except the chests and some others) on War3 Model editor using pics references. (im just used photoshop, editing the pic, removing background, adding alpha channel and linking it with a plain w3 model). and i make all the icons for those models using the lost icon maker web (http://infcore.net/w3icon/index.php).
Anyway i'll ask to moderator about this point.

illegal. all your doing is adding a transparent background to the picture. the hive only allows this if it comes from a blizzard-developed game (SC2, D3, etc)

But on the other hand, if ur downloading the chests and icons from the hive and just adding a transparent background (which is also still technically illegal because your editing the icon without the icon maker's permission) than its technically legal.

Can a mod chime in? (i know i got busted once for using GW icons in a map)
