Good day !
Pleas give a link to a tutorial about adding team color to a model :
1-The Model has its own MDL and BLPs ( not from WC3 MPQs )
2-Using Free Tools ( Not 3Dmax especially)

Thanks :)

If you edit the texture with a programm like gimp or photoshop, search for the so called alpha channel and color it white where you want to apply the teamcolor. Then add a second layer in magos with a ReplaceableTexture ID 2. Check out normal models like the footman first to see how its done.

  • Open the model in magos.
  • Open window>texture manager and right-click in the empty space of the menu, then select "create empty". Right click on the empty texture and select "edit". In the number box, put "1" for team color. Press OK.
  • Go to window>material manager.
  • Double-click on a material, and you get a menu with sub-materials. Double click on the sub-material to check out which texture this specific material contains.
  • Once you have found the material with the texture you want to add TC to, go back to the sub-material list, right click in it and select "create new". Double-click on the new sub-material which should be empty. Inside it, set the texture path to your new "Replacable Id 1", filter mode to "none", and check the "unshaded" and "two-sided" flags (two-sided is optional).
  • Go back to the sub-material menu, right-click on your new sub-material, and select "move up" to put it on top (will make it render FIRST, i.e. end up behind the regular texture).
  • Done!!
