I was reading some books and I found a interesting situation.
Some boys(with you) attack(like bullies) some little boys(other people) and they run all over the place.
And one gets to a dead end you have a choise to hit the little boy and earn reputation amongst your friends or let him run away knowing that he won't get hurt but your friends hit you cause of that?

I didn't say that. I personally wouldn't hit anyone, even for my friends. I abhor violence.

I was just wondering what type of situation it was.

Not to mention, no one specified why the one child is being singled out, whether it was random or specific. It would all depend on the situation, which is what I'm trying to figure out.

I feel if you got to the point where that your friends are people who would respect you more if you hit a little kid, then you have sunk far enough that you would hit the kid. I wouldn't hit the kid, because I wouldn't be in the situation in the first place. But say I had gotten myself into the situation, I would probably hit him because I didn't know any better.

The question is kind of messed up because you can't really do a situation like this in a hypothetical.

Gaining rep by hitting little youngsters? No, I gain rep through advanced intellectual superiority over my fellow citizen. Meaning being smarter, not stronger. So, I don't hit the little dude, I let him go and give my "friends" a lesson they will probably forget in less than 2 minutes, but it would give them something else to think of, for a while.

If your friends would beat the shit out of you if you don't attack some stranger, I'd have to question your ability to make friends.

Anyhow, assuming the person in question isn't the most athletic person, you'd have to make a few things clear. If the "friends" are nearby, I'd make a fucking run for it with the kid, or, if both of us running away is impossible because they'd notice and catch up, you'd have a choice of becoming a martyr and letting the kid go, or sacrificing the kid for your safety. I'd recommend the former, because, if you wanted to sacrifice the kid for your own safety, you could have just beat him up earlier. If the "friends" aren't nearby, they'd never know.

Let's just say that for the sake of the story, i could only let them beat me, or hit the kid. There are thousands of stories or questions like this, and in every each one of them there is a three-digit number of possible solutions not available.

Anyway, i see many ways here to not get beaten and to avoid hitting the kid. But the point would be ruined if you could avoid the both.

It's obvious that you aren't with real "friends", but people in the same gang as you. If you're in a gang, there isn't much of a way out; you're pretty much forced to hit him, or else generally end up on the receiving end of a large male someone's "friendship".

Anyways, if my IRL friends got past talking shit and not only chased a kid, but we actually cornered him, I can guarantee that the kid did something to us he deserves to be hit for. Probably, the kid threw the first literal punch. So no, I would not hit the kid. "Hitting" usually implies fists and punching, whereas I can put much more force behind a kick.
