A issue with tails

I am trying to obtain a effect of nine tails and make it an attachment however I am having difficulties with placement and files-ize, could anyone help point me into the right direction?

The pictures are to show the kind of effect I was aiming for.
Since the only white tail texture/model I could find was the frost wolf. I decided to go with that.

I don't get why the file-size is still so high, it can't possibly be the copy and pasting I did... Can it?

Edit: Figured it out, fixed a lot and reduced file-size. Just need opinions on how to make it look more... nine tail-ish
