Review - Iniquity Trail v1.2
(Version February 1st 2024)
Synopsis: Iniquity Trail is a melee map for six players suitable for 3v3 or 2v2 matches. The rather open layout offers battlegrounds for large armies in beautiful scenery, while the unusual creep choices keep the gameplay unique and interesting.
Map Aesthetics: Good blend of different tilesets. The transition between the Felwood, Ashenvale, and Lordaeron areas is done very smoothly and executed well. Visual clarity is good without being boring or blank - overall a strong job.
Map Layout: The layout is quite open. While There are a lot of forests and deep water areas blocking movement, the overall space is liberal, allowing larger groups of units to move around with ease. Good spacing with the passages with a couple of narrower corridors to play around with. I like that the edges of the map are also walkable, allowing teams to walk past the corner player bases and instead attack from behind.
Neutral Objectives: Creeps fit the theme beautifully. There are a lot of Gnolls - it's nice that you utilized the Campaign variants too to give more flavor. The creep camp strength seems to be appropriate - some camps are on the strong side, but it's expected from a 3-on-3 map. The item drops look good - an interesting choice to lean on the charged type. The expansion gold mine next to Player Orange has one extra troll (behind one tree).
Map Gameplay: Follows the standard melee ruleset. More variation to ordinary melee is brought by good utilization of unusual creeps. Open areas and multiple pathways around the map are suitable for six players, while the map also fits four-player gameplay quite nicely (though some creep camps will be tough then).

Recommendations:
Remove the extra Forest Troll Trapper from the extension site near the orange Player start location.
