Im very interested in single-player party heroes tactical fighting. So i decided to make map inspired by World of Warcraft, 25 heroes against raid denizens and super-strong bosses. This is my second map (not in my life but of this theme), so practically everything which i wish to make is refined and well-thought. I think that my idea has a great potential and that goods maps of this particular style are lacking. First let me explain the idea of the map:
-25 regular units controlled by the player
-6 heroes- heroes are invisible units called Group 1-6 and Settings.
-Player can sort out his 25 units into group of max 7. (Can be adjusted later)
This allows for Raid Buff Control and Healing AI.
-Every healer is attached to 0,5 sec trigger which check the health of his group members and responds by automatic healing rotation-this is already implemented and works quite great.
-Caster units are made to auto cast spells on their targets, they gor 0,3 sec 1 invisible attack and got trigger to force them to cast.
This isnt quite finished yet because now it is impossible to force casters to attack 1 unit, they attack the nearest enemy instead.
-Party buffs are made to affect only the group of the respective hero..its for the need of making varied group...for example: a mage for arcane intellect, a priest for Health Buff,,,,,etc..
-When out of combat all Healths Manas and Coooldowns are automatically reseted for your and enemy units.
-Inventory is made by 1 slot, for avoiding complicated party management...1 item represents whole item set (T1,T5,T666 etc.)
Items on death can be ported to your hometown (since your "heroes" are not heroes,do you remember? )
-Special powers are handled by ESC click. Lets say that each class has got 1 special spell that has very long cooldown. You click your resto shaman and press esc to cast mana tide totem.......or click F1 to select your group 1 (Hero1 is Group1 , clickable by F1) and chose your prot warriors and press ESC to shield wall...elem shaman for bloodlust, etc.
These things are more or less already implemented.
Im attaching the map, there is 1 boss.
To present myself: i dont know nothing about graphics and modelling, i know only GUI not JASS, not planning to learn JASS, but JASS people of course welcomed. This is my GUI spell work: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/...-50-a-176131/?prev=search=illidan&d=list&r=20 (im never using hashtables.)
