So long as he does not attempt to sell the songs, play them for profit, place them in a game withought consent of the parent company, nor claim that he made or was involved in the creation of the music in any means or capacity, it is not breaking international law. Some countries, like america, are slightly more strict, but seeing how Dan does not live in america nor is he an american citizen, those laws do not apply to him.
