Hey all

Well i was working on a big map which took me 2 years so far and it was almost complete but then i did edit a model which it seems got corrupted and i did inject the model to my map and used it on a unit which was in game, and then saved the game T_T ( i didnt know my model was corrupted or something)

now whenever i do load my map the editor get crashed during unit loading when it reach 300, so is there ANYWAY to save 2 years of my time? :(
is there anyway to open a map data without editor and delete this damn unit? it might fix the problem

thanks alot in advance i have lost all hope...

There are two ways to fix this.

1. Go to your Warcraft folder, then check the map>test folder there should be a map called "worldedittestmap" which should be a copy of the last played map of the editor. If you're lucky this wont contain the corrupted model.
2. Download a MPQ editing program and open your map with it. You can then remove the corrupted model completely.

1, Save files like maps in at least two locations.
You load your map and save it under a different name.
Next time, you load the map with the different name and save it with the name of the first one.
This way, you never throw away more than 1 day time.

2, If you use windows, you also have previous versions of files on your hard drive.
You can reset them or simply copy them by going to "Properties -> Previous Versions" when you right click on the folder.

3, Get JNGP if you dont have it already.
