A wonderful model with a great Warhammer Fantasy aesthetic. Great animations, skin and wrapping. Great job as always!
Please fix the following issues:
  • The model still 'bleeds' while in the Decay Bone animation. You might want to adjust the keyframe of that particle effect and use the 'Visibility' option rather than the 'Emission Rate' setting to make use of discreet keyframe timings.
  • For completion sake you might want to give the collision shapes some proper names. This might be easier for you or other people edit the model in the future.
I am eagerly awaiting to approve this model when you fix these issues.

Fu*k yeah Warhammer models.

EDIT. Also I was sure it was HerrDave's waork before I threw a look on the author's name.
This ungor is all the better because it has Warcraft style graphics. Can be used as Human Satyr or Trogg for Warcraft lore map.

Finally checked it out, and honestly there's not much to say anymore; your models are works of art that look excellent as what they originally were (Warhammer) while simultaneously fitting in so well to Warcraft 3. Your animations are the best part; so much life & bounce (particularly appreciate the Attack-2; few people bother but a 2nd Attack animation adds great variety, and I can't think of another "overhand spear stab" anim like that in the game). It simply begs for an animation transfer.

If this is meant to be the opening salvo of a Beastman compilation... Bring it on. ; )

yeah, warcraft really neglects normal melee spears
its a shame how humanity's most common weapon is underrepresented in fantasy

Honestly that was something that really struck me from both Way of Kings (Brandon Sanderson) & Wheel of Time (Robert Jordan)! Maybe it's just me, but with stuff like Warcraft I was conditioned to see swords as low-level, basic, "everyone had it" kind of weaponry. Where in reality, swords were (are!) usually pretty intense (in terms of requirements to make, buy, upkeep, etc); whereas the lowly spear was the true "weapon for the common man". Little more than a sharpened stick can basically serve as a spear, all the way up to the fancy stuff (but even then, it's got to be much less than a sword; only the head/tip has to be forged from metal, while all the rest is just wood!).

So yeah.

But most "Footman Spearman" models here on Hive Workshop do have two attack animations, one of which is overhead pierce.
The defend attack animation though is always just one single variation.

You have answered on your own question.
The spears and polearms are too common and relatively boring to be associated with heroism. Fantasy genre (or High Fantasy at least) used to be baroque and splendorous in their narration and visual presentation.
If polearms even exist in generic fantasy, then it is usually weapon of peasants, symbolical city guard or lowest rank soldiers.

Good to see you return to your amazing models to polish them! Are they on linear animation you had to fight with again? 😀

I've noticed some gutz missposition here also. And the 'Spell' looks more like 'Spell Throw' but that's just nitpicking, meh...
