Turalyon (WoW)

This bundle is marked as pending. It has not been reviewed by a staff member yet.
I ported this model from World of Warcraft. It features Turalyon, High Exarch of the Grand Army of the Light.
He was added during Legion expansion.

Lore:
“I saw in you something that no one else had. You were a fine priest, but that wasn’t what the Light wanted you to be. The Light needed champions who could fight with both the weapons of humanity and the love and power of the Light. The others were strongest with the first and came to the Light later. You were the opposite.”

  • The model and textures have been optimized
  • All Animations have been renamed properly to function in Warcraft
  • The Model still presents some issues (not gamebreaking) and I will update it
Update 02.04.2025:
  • Fixed more issues with his face (no more shadows, made his eyes open fully, etc)
  • Fixed attachment points
  • Rescaled the model to fit best when imported in WE
  • Optimized further (Now 2.6Mb down from 11.4Mb)
Update 03.04.2025:
  • Fixed textures and recalculated normals correctly

I have fixed Turalyon. Made it may be 2 years ago. Your version needs a lot of fixing.

Hello Mister Vulfar! Thank you for your comment!

  • With all the love, don't mean to insult you but having a fixed model and keeping it for yourself.. wow says a lot
  • I did mention in the post that the model still presents issues and I will do my best to fix them
  • If you would like to make a remark try to make a constructive one (pointing the flaw and preferably the way to fix it)- not to brag with your fixed model :D
Also please use spoiler when attaching large images in a post.

I have seen many requirements for wow models in order to be marked as “good quality”. And I saw that some of my models were marked with a thumbs down. I don’t argue that some things can still be fixed in the models, but I deliberately left some things as they are, so that everyone can customize the model for themselves.

Therefore, I don’t want to post wow models, since the huge work done on the quality of the models turned out to be insufficient for the moderators.

I dare say that it seems that I was the first person who generally began to post wow models on hive and in the internet with smooth facial animations and without various body fractures, which turned out to be not enough for the moderators.

As an advice, I can suggest using my base human model, transferring Turalyon's armor, hairstyle and weapons onto it, and adding his textures.

I've seen the models you talk about. I've read the posts. I don't insist on reviewing models with such severity, but I expect them to work inside the game well and without additional model editing by the mapmakers. If the author desires he can upload separately a full anims model for cinematics. I am aware some of the people who do ports might not agree with me, but if you don't upload for others to use it, then what's the purpose?

As I said many times, I don't think a person who likes making maps should feel forced to learn how to port models or edit them. If you share my view, we can chat more, otherwise, you can comment at my ports and brag how much you want with your fixes, I won't care.

As for the models that you have uploaded, I will look at them too when their turn comes, I've used some in my maps so probably besides removing unnecessary animations and renaming others, I won't ask for anything else.

Wow… It’s very impressive! :peasant-thumbs-up:

I remember the previous version of Turalyon, and what can I say - you did a great job! I really like the Holy Light specks coming from his armor and the work on the texture of his face!

New Turalyon is just begging to be used in my project XD
Thank you! I tested ingame and looks better, also I like the particles too so I increased their size to be more noticeable
