I wanted to make a buff for my paladin item Crown of Pearlescence, but couldn't find anything suitable. I really like the result. I know it's very simple but I figure someone could find it useful, if they're into the cosmetic stuff like me.
(P.S. make sure and look at it in game, I couldn't get the screenshots to do it justice)
Why did you attach it to the head? It looks like it was meant for overhead ref
Anyways i always say that there can't be too many different buff effects. The particles are fancy and this choice of colours makes it seem like it's a glitch out of 3d movie or something. I guess you could have worked around it a bit more. On the other hand those "star7" particles seem kinda out of place.
The colour set fits my needs so it's already downloaded. I really like it, works fine in game. Also, this sort of disortion animation seems original and unique, it's not plain and motionless as one would think. The only problem I see is that these sigils/runes are difficult to be seen below all these particles, but to be honest - I like these stars the most
Overall, quite a nice entry, as person above me said, another buff won't hurt. Are you planning to do more of such in the future?

Well the attachment is only head on that guy's sphere ability because I wanted this celestial-looking crown, but theoretically it's still a piece of gear your guy would actually *wear* if that makes sense. Kind of like a flashier execution of this:
I actually like the star7 because to me it felt like a hybrid of fire, smoke, sparkles and bubbles all at once and it also seemed a unique effect to be accompanying a crown, which I liked.

Awesome, glad you like it and yeah the 'distortion' gives it a more dynamic and memorable frame imo. As for the scale of the crown texture, that just depends on scale value. I'm using a spellbreaker at like 1.40 I think (bigger than in the screenshot).
To be honest I'm not sure, possibly. I submitted this because I thought surely someone would like it but I normally am a quiet lurker around here as you can see. If I come up with something that makes me feel like that again though, then sure

No i mean you could move the effect upwards so it looks like a WoW crown you've showed on the screenshot. Not necessary attach it to his overhead or whatever, just move the effect on needed axis. If you wanted to make a mask than i have real bad news for you coz it doesn't look like one
