A nature ward would be a very nice thing to have. But I'd recommend you to work more on your model. It has no actual shape at the moment, it is just a piece of semi-transparent seamed texture which doesn't say anything. Try to think up what are its components, if it's a stick with a foliage on top, or if it's a root coming up, then after you defined that get to model it. You may ask me if you have any doubt. The particles are quite nice, but they may change once you rethink its concept.

Decent attempt.

The only thing is - it doesn't desemble a shield anymore, just a bunch of nature'ish things like roots and leaves. So maybe you could make it billboarded? Might work as an abstract druid themed buff better.
@Andser: what I said about defining its shape, or go for what JH said here, doing a more abstract thing might be an easier way to achieve a good result.
