Kargath Bladefist (Fel Orc)

Hello friends;

this time i made Kargath Bladefist with the help from @Direfury. He basically showed me how to make a proper body and face.

  • The spikes that are on his jaw and back aren't from @General Frank directly, but his Idea is. He came up with the Idea to use the DiabloCar.blp texture for the spikes. The Mesh itself is made by me. Even if you don't believe me. If you don't: Then you can gladly report me. I don't care.

Nice idea and good execution. Work in-game and performs adequate.

- Made his red skin darker in color due to lore reasons. (As seen in the reference picture above)

03.09.17
- Changed the shape of the head to make it not so cuspidal.

[~]Please tell me, if there is anything wrong with the model. Aside from his scaling and the Cape.

This model is good. I'm just not very fond of the animations. When it comes to Orcs, what I have in mind is how brutal they are in the battlefield. His attack animations look like he's chopping a tree or something and his walk animation looks kinda funny. But this is a very good model nonetheless. Good job.

Love the model but the animations are... eh.. real bad. Especially the walk; he's practically prancing like a ninny.

I like it... and you done very...
In my view... i think you can fix his pauldron skin cuz now it look a little strech... otherwise welldone ;) !
Personally. I am not a fan of his animations myself, but i am a complete noob when it comes to animating.

So i will most likely use the beastmasters animations.

I think i should stick to just making buildings. I can't mess them up so much unlike a unit or hero.

Nicely done... I wish to see more your fel orc model... the mesh is well... just his head need some fix a little especially the part of his back head it look kinda shrink... and his pauldron texture... I think you should reduce the size or maybe you can separate it into 2 part and skin it... cause now it look kinda stretch... otherwise well done!

I think you should make the whole model move with the animations. For example, he only moves his upper body when he swings the axe sideways, leaving the legs frozen in place. When you swing an axe IRL, you accompany the movement with your whole body, to strike with more strenght, more precisely, tiring you less, and giving you a better position to strike again. Right now it looks robotic, and lacking power/strenght. When he swings it the other way, his spine looks rigid and like he's doing no effort, making the hit look weak. This is supposed to be a very strong, powerful orc, so his moves should (imo) look like his hitting with all of his weight, moving the whole body to strike, slow on the buildup, fast in the blow.

Other than it looks neat.

Model looks good. But, I prefer Rexxar animations on kargath.

Not so fast there.

I actually ported the meshes of Kargath over to the Beastmaster and attached everything where it needs to be.

This is the result.

Kargath with Beastmaster animations (You doomed yourself)

Now that i see this. I actually prefer the mess that i made with the original model.

Fits nicely into wc3, no questions.

Maybe it could use some more detail.
Actually it looks quite well next to other fel orcs (like presented in the screenshots).

I also favor the beastmaster animations.
4/5 for now (5/5 with better unique animations).

Good work , But you should think about the angle of view in game . now his head is cuspidal when we see him through the game view , you know , there is no human or orcs have such kind of head .

You're just nitpicky. :p

But alright how is this?

It isn't that Cuspidal anymore.
