  • I mean the basic text you've made is good enough.

If I would do a similar type of story I would add something else. You can little compare story of Illidan; he's jailed for 10,000 years, he gets free but the story continues with many twists. In your story when the demon is free, he simply kills until he is killed.
Give a better reason why he kills everybody. THat can be really hard.

But without emotions killing everybody is just bad lore. MAny story writers go that way and that is cheap.
This type of story is very common. I've seen it many time. I mean, "something is thrown to oblivion, it comes back to life and kills everything just for the sake of lulz"
Actually everything went smoothly for me... ergo the more I want it to be in my map...

But things here are getting quite out of control and hence my free-time is getting smaller and smaller... just give me a heads-up about the CSS when you update it.
By functionalities do you mean: -mana, -dmg, etc. ? Because I tested everything that can be entered as a chat string relevant to CSS. Also tested the -iteminfo and -itemsocketinfo... they both work fine and I really want CSS in my map but I need to create all the variables again...

Can you create a blank trigger that has all the variables (not converted trigger btw) so users will just copy that trigger into their map then delete it?
Hey bro, how come when I import your CSS, I need to make all the variables again/ Though the "Automatically Create Known Variable when pasting trigger data" is ticked, I don't know what's the problem...
The legendary sword will be used by the main character to defeat the Doom Lord because it's the only thing capable of wounding the Doom Lord; but the main character has to go through a hell lot of trouble to find that sword.

If it's dota-like lores you want, I'll do some research into it.
You can check them for example by going to Advance - Game Interface. Go to Sound section and modify some sound, there's a drop-down list.

About removing handles, I think it leaks if they are not removed.
    Why?
Copy the Requirements folder, save the new map.
Copy the System folder, save the new map.
Copy the Save Load Snippets folder, save the new map.

If he needs the gui variables he should also probably copy the GUI example folders..
    I still don't see the problem! :p
    Okay.

The Doom Lord's sword Diabolus, not only tears the enemies' souls asunder in a single strike, but (what I think) it also implants part of the Doom Lord's soul in that target. So the more the target is struck and hit by Diabolus, the more the Doom Lord's soul is attached to it.

One unfortunate warrior encountered the Doom Lord hundreds of years ago. He had the strength of a thousand men, and was given the title of a Legendary Warrior. That warrior wield one of the most famous swords ever forged: The nameless, crystalline sword that was believed to have the spirit of the gods.

Their fight lasted for three days and three nights. But alas, the immortal body of the Doom Lord was deathless and was too much for the legendary warrior to handle. The Doom Lord killed the warrior, piercing his heart with his doom blade. Before the Doom Lord could entirely kill the warrior, the warrior grabbed his sword, held his breath, and wounded the Doom Lord's supposedly impenetrable armor. That was the first and only time he was wounded.

By this time, the warrior has passed away, and the Doom Lord was the victor. Before he continued his endless journey, he tried to take the legendary sword for himself. But something was inside that sword that prevented the Doom Lord from touching it, and he also heard in his corrupted mind the sound of an Angel's voice saying: whosoever wields this sword, should he be worthy, shall posses the power of the gods.

So, the part of the Doom Lord's soul rests inside the body of the legendary warrior, and he revived that warrior as an emotionless, dull creature, with the strength of a hulk. He erased all of the warrior's memories, and then sent him to the Nether realm, calling forth the warrior when he fancies.

I don't write stories very much either, but at the moment this is all I could come up with.
I can do other lores by myself but the Doom Lord might need a helper: like an undead general or a zombie-goliath.
Don't worry. It exceeded my expectations of the Doom Lord's lore. I will continue it and give you the draft tomorrow. (Because right now, by order of priority, my project comes first)
I'm afraid when I talk with you *_*. Child talks with adults. But it doesn't matter, I will finish my project as fast as I can. Thanks so much :)
You question me so fast! :p. I'm editing my albums for project's screenshots!
Tomorrow, I have the exam subjects 2nd semester, is literature. Thursday, I have Math then English in Saturday. I'm so busy :/
But, in the other, I have a lot of helpers. When I have problem in triggers/Jass/VJass/GUI, I can ask them.
Here I worked on an icon for the Doom Lord's ultimate:

It's called Eye of the Universe:

Since the Doom Lord is going to be AI I don't know the proper purpose of this icon but it is in itself a depiction of what happens when the Doom Lord casts this spell.

Actually now, I am thinking of calling it DOOM of the Universe... =)
That's excellent! When it's finished I will put all of that into a cinematic that is in a separate map, and that map is to be uploaded as the story Prologue =)

Also, since I want the Doom Lord to be able to transform between humanoid and demonic forms (just though of this now), maybe you could put that history in the lore for the Doomlord.

Now since I am still not sure, clarify something for me: Do you want us both to work on that Lore or just you?
I have created a fire ball spell before... wherein the projectile fireball is a dummy unit with the model fireball so I think I can manage. I will refine that spell though to fit in with the Doom Lord.

The CSS will be perfect. Besides the things it does in my map, it's add-ons really liven
    up the place!

I will message you when I have made sufficient progress (to rephrase: I will message you after a few days or 1 week)
Okay then. Other units have a long revival interval between deaths (these units are the Creeps, AI helpers, etc.) and the main characters have a long revival time too but shorter than the other minor units.

The Doom Lord, being the villain, a boss, and an agent of darkness, has a special feature (he has many features but right now I can only think of 1) that lets him do this:

When the Doom Lord dies, his half-dead soul immediately searches the nearest corpse in a wide radius, and will travel instantly to that point and revive him and that corpse (the corpse is revived as a skeletal berserker) and allows the doom lord to resume in battle.

What makes that feature terrifying is that the Doom Lord also has a passive ability that creates corpses at random times when he is in battle (Kind of like the Undead Crypt's ability (I'm not sure which building it is)) ergo making him almost immortal.

Also, when the skeletal berserkers die (their death has two conditions: Either they die by expiring the generic timer or they die by battle) their HP is transferred to the Doom Lord.

Now I thought of an ability that we could give to the Doom lord besides your awesome spells: an ability that counts how many skeletal berserkers have returned to the Doom Lord and he releases those souls like the Locust Ability (Kind of like Nevermoore's ability in Dota (again I'm not sure which hero it was in Dota))

For now that was all I was able to come up with. More on this, as it develops.
Since the Doom Lord is going to be the final boss, I'm going to give it special privelages in the game that no other units have. (Privileges that only the main characters have are an example).
Sorry for the late reply... I've been a little busy for the past few hours...

Anyways, I think it's a cool idea to make your spells dark-based for the Doom Lord. That will work! I mean: it's awesome! Really awesome!

Also, I'm still repairing the code of the spell book... trying to fix it by myself. I'll show it to you next time.

I'm very excited too about the dark-based spells bro! I'll just need to find out the next time I am not busy.
Actually, I just added the spellbook ability to the hero, then made a trigger that fires in TriggerRegisterPlayerChatEvent or something like that...
Regardless of the icon... I can't make the unit cast a spell from the spellbook... I'll send you the trigger I made later...
ummm okay thanks anyway :) i will be waiting for you but while you are gone i will be making progress to the map
I know that but... the spells are in a spellbook. Is it possible to cast spells from a spellbook especially if it's an AI that's going to use it... or can it be cast by triggers even though it's in a spellbook?
Of course... but I was hoping that the Doomlord has many spellbooks that has many spells... but he is AI-controlled so the problem is how to make him cast those spells... but if this succeeds it will be awesome.
Oh... I though you'd be completely gone, but okay. Anyways I'll show you the Doomlord model with spells and stuff in-game in about three weeks or so, and it will be kick-ass. Be prepared.
