I found a model in the dependency made by delphinium/nanakey called rpg infested terran, which replaces the main gun on infested terrans with this. it looks comical, but I wondered if I could export it as an fbx file and then import it into the model I was already doing material layer work on. it took some trial and error but I like to think i've positioned it perfectly now. proof of concept -- and this is my first ever ''merge'' of 2 models into 1.
