Im currently entered in rui's terraining contest and to prevent posting 10,000 wips in the official contest thread im going to post them here to get some feedback. lemme know what you guys think. Its not quite finished yet:

Sorry if the screenies dont show much, the citadel is very large so its hard to get a good focal point.

Awesome looks like a hightop forest i like it id give rep but it wouldn't do nething.

Most likley vote for you but i suggest maybe making more trees because Night Elves like the forest and it'll give them a backround. Gl with contect.

How did you get the water to pool on the overhang-walkway....thing? Is it the water model for the Moon Well? It doens't look like it, it looks 100% real Warcraft water...

yay haha. I was hoping it would look like 100% real Warcraft water. I used the raising water doodad :wink:

I just looked at the first picture and said "Oh wow!" I just noticed the spider and webbing on the column and omg awesome idea. It looks awesome overall and i love the water on that overhang by the bridge.

But on each of th ledges with the waterfalls...the water just disappears and then shows up again for the next waterfall. Thats the only thing that bugs me

but its not biggie anyways.

Also how do they get from each level to the next?

Anyway, Im thinking about putting in some sort of spiral staircase/ladder to get from one level to the next.
I'll try to fix that water. I just figured it would be spread out enough that the water wouldnt really be too visible. I'll take a look at it though.

Ahhh well youd still see something id imagine. Try messing with the water squares in the UTM and see if you can find a nice transparent look.

Yea, I was messing with it. Cant get it to work right because the platform is a hexagon and the water is all square shapes. I tried using the moon well water but it looked bad. I guess i could always see if someone could mod the square water for me...

Hm well i had that problem on mine. I just used very small tiles and tiled them next to each other so the railing cut off the edges and made it fit the area. But i dont think it would work with yours

Prolly not because theres places where the water has pushed the blocks off the edges. Eh *shrugs* Ill look at it some more.

Its kinda aggrivating really, I wanted it to have the citadel in the background. But its too far away and WE makes it black :sad:

(yea i turned off terrain fog)

What do you mean turns in black? As in it just cuts it off without the fog on? You can push that back using the scroll button on the mouse

Go to Advanced on the tool bar, and put the map to view all, and then go to take that screenie again, all of it should appear

Nah, it has nothing to do with that. Im pretty sure its just the shadows. If i take a screenie without being in game view settings its fine.

It might be due to the fog. Change that in Map Options and extend the Z end to a larger number

I know the fog is only in 2 of them.. I keep adding it in and taking it out. Im not sure whether i want it or not yet.

Game view forces the ingame cut-off-distance, it can not be changed.
Take screenshots in regular WE view, you can rotate the camera as you like, then use CTRL+Mouse wheel to change the cut-off-distance.

Only thing wrong with WE view is the giant pink checkered square that appears above some of the animated doodads.

In the object editor, find the doodad that has a checkered square (Pathing blockers, birds, etc) find the entry that says something along the line of:
Editor - Show click helper object True

Change it to false.
