Greetings fellow hivers,

Current Discussion: Best Team Color Pattern for Helmets
Help me determine which team colored version is the ideal to submit with my resources as an alternative options. Some ideas I have are:

202681-albums5622-picture109028.png

Option A: half the helmet with team color.
Option B: one half of each half with team color (2 quarters).
Option C: one horizontal stripe at the bottom of the helmet.
Option D: one horizontal stripe at the middle of the helmet.
Option E: many slim vertical stripes.
Option F: other suggestion?

EDIT 1 (11-June-2016): seems that option B is the most demanded. For now all helms with TC will have this pattern.

Any comment is welcomed. (Also you can do request regarding this set or models that would fit this set).

Added test map so you can see most of the the attachments in action, with a simple Item System to use the models.

Firstly I think team colour is essential on any attachment (depends on purpose) especially those that are destined to be used by more units. As most attachments are made for the Villager and he doesn't have any team colour I think it would be fit for at least the attachments to have colour. You have done so incredibly, for that I applaud you.

Regarding the helmet team colour, I think B fits the best, though I also like D.
A suggestion, maybe have different patterns for the armour as well as that was actually quite a thing. What I would suggest is a variation of type A on a chestplate.

*As for the requests.

-A shield with a christian red cross. Your tier 1 (http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/models-530/team-colored-shield-227458/?prev=u%3DAstaroth%2520Zion shield fits the best as it is more simplistic. Here are some cross designs:
http://www.medievalcollectibles.com/images/Product/large/801508.png This is one of the most used design as it was simple for a Crusader to paint it on his shield.

-I think the cross should be team coloured, making it more useful.
Your chestplate could also be fitted with a cross making your shit more useful. Reference:

*Kettle Helmet
As I mentioned earlier, the hive really lacks helmets that are actually practical and realistic, the kettle helmet is the best choice to start changing this.

I have many more ideas and suggestions but I don't want to over burden you, so it will all be revealed in time...

I'd vote for A or B.

Those shields are so legit btw.
Thanks JesusHipster, btw I also liked (TC variant B) the most. Let me know if you have ideas of more attachments that could fit in set.

I can't help but feel like the TC versions were inspired by my Templar Justicar.

This makes me happy.
Indeed I draw inspiration from many things including your awesome models, such variety you have.
To complete the set I was thinking to add some attchments on with the "Templar Theme", any suggestion in that sense?

Thanks, also for the record I am planning to release most of the attachments with a Team Colored version in the portrait.

Yeah B patters seems to be the best for the helmets.
Regarding the chest plate, simple big patters like the "A" one are pretty simple to archive. If you need that variation let me know to upload it here, just to not spam the Model Section.

I like the idea, I will add it to the "TO DO LIST". Create a Templar Cross variant for the shields and the chestplates (on both metal and golden versions) and in all the tiers.
Again to avoid spam I will upload those special variants in this thread.

I like the shape and theme of that "historically more accurate helmet", so it will be also added to the "TO DO LIST". BTW I just got one question, I like to have multiple tiers of each attachments to show a kind of progression in the gear of the character, however this model seems like a stand alone.
My idea would be to upload a simple one (Metallic and TC as potrait) and another with the extra chainmail for the neck, what are your ideas about the Tier thing on this Kettle Helmet?

Look at my Justicar's helmet and armor style. That breastplate and helmet would be a great start.

Look up other sorts of Great Helms with things such as Moose, Elk or Deer Horns, aswell as tusks and such.

I wonder if this kind of system http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/models-530/replaceable-banner-278853/?prev=r%3D20%26page%3D3 could work on a shield.
That would be extremely useful, I don't have a clue on how it actually works but if it is what I think it is, then it would be the greatest thing.
An Example would be to remove the Footman's shield and replacing it with the new custom one and being able to have Factions like Holy Roman Empire, Kingdom of France and Italy fighting and each faction would have their banner on the shield.
It doesn't sound that impressing but it is.

I have never used replaceable textures (from destructibles), let me take a good look at that banner.

Edit: seems that is just uploading a custom texture, then each person can replace it with the desired one...

So In other words is it possible to have multiple shields in a game? And could you have multiple textures without heavily adding to the size?

But of course the most important question is: Could you find the time or will to do it?

I see that the Team Coloured Golden Plate is already planned, along with many other team coloured items so never mind what I said about the plate.

Anyway could I perhaps request some sort of "Tabard"?
Maybe you could make use of HerrDave's Crusader tabard. The majority of the Medieval Armies used them and would be a very useful addition.
I for one could find many uses for it if it would be Team Coloured, there's quite a lack in the more soft armour like Mail and such, and quite an abundance of chestplates and steel armour suits, so even a Mail vest would do wonders.
