Doesn't matter if they're useful, it's worse than CnP, simply cropping or resizing images and making them icons. This is definitely not what the Icons section was made for. For personal use it's one thing but cluttering the site with such material is bad. It's not even art like you'd for instance port a WoW or some other game icon.
