The review

BAD:
  • The terrain is dead flat
  • Also have many empty spaces
  • You got bad creep camps, your green camp is composed of 1 granite golem that can actually help each other when one is attacked
  • Bad item drops, one item per unit is bad
  • Tavern is guarded
  • Lack neutral building type variation, 4 mercenary camp and goblin merchant is kind bad for me.
  • Lack of tile variation
  • If players harvest lumbers on the middle part then it will become a open field
  • Got some open spaces between the trees, where small units can hide
  • Since this is a 4 player melee map, you should add neutral creeps on the starting position.

GOOD:
  • The terrain looks bad, but the layout seems to be balance, but having only one route to attack enemy's main base is bad.

SUGGESTIONS:
  • Try to fix all the bad things that I pointed out
  • Use height tools on terraining
  • Use Tile variation
  • Use more doodads to improve the terrain
  • Be creative on your next maps

Rating:
1.5/5 Good enough for your first melee.


Some notes:
Keep practicing its a good start for your first melee map. Look on blizzard's melee map for references, or you can also take a look on some custom melee maps here. I hope to see some improvements from you, melee map needs more fresh mappers.
