Human Mage Tower

This bundle is marked as awaiting update. A staff member has requested changes to it before it can be approved.
A tower where less than sane mages live, as can be evidenced by the shoddy nonsensical construction.

This model edit used a pre-alpha human mage tower model as base,
have found in zip archive that belongs to a project titled 'Warcraft Legends'
sadly i cannot determine who has made it as there does not seems to be
any credits file in there.

The original uses a texture with custom layout. The texture corresponded to alpha human barracks texture, however i wanted to let it use ingame textures, so set about rewrapping it to regular human garrison.

Im aware that the wrap is bad, its rather the model maker's fault however, there are some very nonsensical triangles the model has got.
There is not much more i can do wrap-wise for this model, im afraid. If you ask me it should get a remake. :ugly:

list of changes:
Retextured to use human garrison texture, added collision shape, resized up by about 40%, rotated some parts, transferred a front door from arcane sanctuary, changed work anim to same particle as sanctuary.

There are some mayor and minor issues with the model that you should fix. Please tend to the following: The death/decay animation is incorrect. It displays the potrait plane and it should not. The left over debris should also not display the base...
On Mdlvis, type "A" to select things, hold down the shift key, and select the two triangles making up each rectangular prism where the wrap is bad. Copy and paste that mesh and then type the F2 key.
There, select the blue dots/vertices, so they all turn red, and then using your camera angle go to the button that reads projection, and it will manifest the shape formed from your camera view. It is best if you position the camera view first before typing the F2 key.
 
There are some mayor and minor issues with the model that you should fix.
Please tend to the following:
  • The death/decay animation is incorrect. It displays the potrait plane and it should not. The left over debris should also not display the base concrete plate of the model.
  • The wrapping on the roofs is quite bad and you might want to make it more symmetrical on the octagonal roof, make not stretch on the pointy one and make it more logical on the frontal one. Roof shingles should point down.
  • There is overall stretching and bad unwrapping on the main body of the tower.
  • There are holes in the model and you should close them
