Hard too make out the shape of the boot in this one. While the icon is nicely detailed just hard too comprehend at a glance. looks like a burning stump more then a footstep.

It's not supposed to be a footstep. You seem to misunderstand the "Steps" part of the icon's name.

It's actually kind of a foot stump, but it's a walking position. The back part of the foot is risen like every man's walk, pressing the ground downwards leaving lava behind with every walk damaging victims.

The icon is pretty much consistent regarding shape and ability description.
