My previous one looked like shit so I ended up deleting it. I tried to restore it but unfortunately it was locked when I did, so I just started a new one.

The is my old "Male Drow" But this one is Optimized, with detail and such. But suggestions for improvement are always welcomed.

My current objective is to make the hair look better. The shading is a bit dark, I might fix that up too.

Male, Drow, Male Drow, Dark, Elf, Male Dark Elf, DnD.

zombie2279: Incredibly unrealistic, even worse than the other one. The proportions are messed up and the details are rather cartoonish and flat, most of them are lost due to the pixelated blurryness of the altogether stuff. More contrast on the nose, use shading to bring the dude more into 3D, shade the hair, remove the blurryness. Neither of these dark elves are particularly useful.

On a sidenote, I'd like to recommend you not to start facial constructions until you are more experienced in icon making, they among the most difficult to do well.

Yeah, I have been trying, I did brighten it slightly from it's previous shading, at least the mouth is visible sort of now. I will work on the shading though.

Fixed up the shading but now it's way to bright... Going to darken it just slightly.

Well, I just raised the size, I am going to try and detail it more with the bigger size, having a 64-64 doesn't call for very good looking things. It is already shaping up well, It should look really good by tomorrow, until then; it gets to look this bad.

People really dont need icons of a Dark Elf, they could just screenshot the model or skin they need. Also the quality of this is really bad, i dont know if it blurry or what, but remove the pixelated hair parts on the top, maybe start working in a bigger size before you resize.

Agreed. Who need Dark Elf icon? o_O

I am improving most of these aspects right now. That hair is sort of shaping up, the detail on the face is being improved... alot.

And I am sure a drow will come to use in the future. Once warcraft's DnD games catch up with DnD 3.5 there will be a need. And by that point I would like to have resources available.

So far I have expanded the forehead so it's not so damn compact. adding much close up detail to make it look more, face like. Added nostrils, and yet more detail. Will upload it when it's presentable.
