I like the technique you used. Although, you'd better give it a plain, black background.

Name (Item/Ability/Upgrade/Attribute):
Grenade: A modern flask or explosive, different versions of which can be used in many situations to alter the course of battle, civil riot, or crime (I.E., bank robbery). This icon (self-evidently) fits its name quite well. No hiding that.



Usefulness [9/10]:
You have made it readily available for any purpose that an icon could be used for; whether it be an attribute, passive ability, auto-cast ability, upgrade, or standard ability icon. The only reason it would be slightly less useful than described above is the fact that it is modern, and modern icons don't really fit in well with the Warcraft III setting. That doesn't mean they aren't, in fact, useful though. Good job - 9/10



Quality of Look [8/10]:
When you look at this icon you must take in the whole picture: the background is well done, it's incredibly flexible and is done (assumingly) freehand, with the depth and shading also uniquely done and very nicely blended with the rest of the icon. I personally like it, and the overall usefulness together with the quality of the picture makes it quite nice. The only thing I would have to say is 'lacking' is the lack of a Blizzard-style. It doesn't fit in well with other Blizzard icons (if intended).

I still won't approve this until you updated the background.
Make either a black bg, a small glow or something else.
If you test this icon in warcraft using this background, it looks...not good.

I agree with Paladon! Remove the background, else it looks fine!

I like the background...a black back will make the grenade less important i think.however, good 5/5

I don't think a black background with this would look too great. Maybe a yellowish explosion would be fine, something like that. I quite like the one he has currently, it might not match (docked score) exactly but I think it is still quite usable.

This might be inappropriate but compare it to this http://www.clker.com/cliparts/a/9/a/0/11949854771356015513kallisti-grenade_1_nurbl_01.svg.med.png just remove the "k" and squeeze it abit and put in some color and it looks the same (tried in photoshop myself), i might be wrong but about this one but the gas mask was CnP so why couldn't this be. No offence just wanting the judging to be fair

I don't think that's the one, I found that aswell (http://dclips.fundraw.com/zobo500dir/liftarn_Hand_grenade.jpg), but I recall seeing something like this in Corel Draw or something like that. CnPing is rather obvious, Devine, I demand an apology ^^
