Well, it's pretty much self-explanatory. I can draw this in a few minutes time window, using 2, maybe 3 colors altogether. The object itself is too thin, and there's no details crafted on it. Heck, it doesn't even have a trigger. Not to mention shading (which can only be seen on the arrow head).

Despite that, you can keep up with iconing, and you'll see that you're getting better. Just examine some other better-made icons too and try to produce the same quality by yourself.

2/5 Lacking, it looks more like a regular bow being used than a crossbow since one can't really make the wood behind the arrow out. It all looks very smudged and blurry, the background makes no sense and in general the complete object is to small. Added that I don't like 2d object icons.

What I would do to improve it is: Zoom in, angle it, deeper shading and remove the background.
