The missile could be thicker, Noar better looking. The impact on the bottom left corner could be bigger also, so it looks like its actually hitting it and making an explosion.

Fade the edges of the bolt to give it more of a beam-ish look and to let the red and black blend more. Slightly increase the size of the explosion and make it more round, it looks like a splash right now.
