Zul'Farrak

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
It's my FIRST map...

I make a Zul'Farrak map. I tried to make it like the real Zul'Farrak in WoW.

You can choose your heros in the tavern: Tank, RangeDD, MeleeDD, Healer.
To activate boss fights/Events go on the dark grounds in the map...
There are 5 bosses.


Bots don't work because i don't know how too make it^^ I'm new with the World Editor

a little tip...: To destroy the big door use the Ingenier because he can destroy it with his spell.

1) Poor scripting with memory leak and does not contain proper victory/defeat.
2) For RPG genre, the terrain was very poorly develop as it lack of tiles variation and destructible/doodad.
3) Missing hotkey, poor tooltips and only can have 1 hero.

1/5 (Unacceptable)

Please do more research and read tutorial, the quality of the map was way too weak.

Allright, I'll write a command: Do not upload poor quality maps on the hive!
(You probably meant "comments" :wink:)

Well, you need to do everything better... the triggering, the terraining, the general idea, the objects, the description... everything.

Septimus (the one who wrote the first comment) has made some nice tutorials about triggering, it will make it a lot easier and your triggers won't cause lag (at the moment, they do).

You should check some other maps for the terrain, see how they've done it, use doodads, tileset variation, instead of blizzard cliffs, you can increase the terrain height and use pathing blockers, things like that.

For the objects: create custom spells (triggered), make the description a lot better, customize the units instead of copy/pasting standard units and changing the name!
Items are also very important in RPG-maps, create a lot of custom items, maybe use an item-system (bag, item-type, equipment-system, whatever you want, there are enough on the hive).

Check my signature to improve the description and 1 more thing: work on your English!

That's it, a lot of fun mapping, try to improve your skills for a while and then you can start creating a map.

i myself made a Zul'farrak map of course it failed -_- but at least i got all or most of the unit types and boss names i mean your Sandfury Executioner was named master of prisoners and all the trash mobs were forest trolls... you can look at mine at epicwar.com
