XY Quad - how to make it work?

    When I use it on a particle emitter, it doesn't display at all, is there some trick to it?

    No, if you add it it should just make all particles face the direction of the z-axis.
    Maybe you spawn them underground?

    I think you need to tick in "line emitter" too for it to work properly.

    If I set XY Quad, it doesn't actually show the emitter at all, and line emitter doesn't do anything as far as I see. :(

    have you tried it ingame?
    XY quad works for all i'm concerned. You will need to tick the following:

    head
    x/y quad
    line emitter

    Well, if you know a way to fix it, then try :D Simply doesn't work for me in game, when I play "Rain" animation.

    It already works, it is just that ripples only look fine when seen from a high angle. ifrane gave me permission to edit it (the base is his).

    I just compared the .mdl text readout of the spell breaker missile with a custom made particle emitter with XY quads. It did not seem to differ one bit, yet the one works, and the other doesn't. Gonna try to experiment a bit more with this tomorrow and see if i can get it to work somehow.

    And his demonstration uses the same idea and even the texture I used, that bit is sort of creepy xD
