Introduction
Genesis is a faction in name only, there is no unity within. In fact, it exist of two close to polar opposite parties.
The angels that live in their giant and only city, "Sanctum" and various dark beings from the Underworld.
The only thing they have in common, is that they are guarding ancient power.
The power is in the form of two beings, the power being passed between personalities as the corpses of the mortal in question wither.
One wields sacred holy power while the other wields dark demonic powers.
Ranks
While the two sides of Genesis are very different they have a similar rank system.
- Great Beings
- Commanders
- Champions
- Archangels/Voidbringer
- The rest
The great beings being their deity of sorts, the commanders being Eirlys and Linnea who commands half of the faction each.
Each of the commanders has chosen a champion whom serve the same role as a general would do.
They then have a small group of elite beings, they are basically nobility but are also very powerful in battle.
While there are no rules regarding genders within the faction, there are certain trends.
Either man or woman can focus on magic, same goes for material arts. However, the mentality of the sexes causes the trend that most males choose melee combat over cowardly casting spells from a distance.
Not to mention wearing robes and other classical mage like clothes look absolutely un-manly according to most. And due the fact that men have a physical advantage in melee combat, most of the female side
go for the spell casting instead.
And since a spell caster usually wins against a material artist, most of the high ranked members of the faction are female, but there are exceptions.
Love & Affection
This is where the difference between the Underworld and Sanctum is very clear.
Love is as good as non-existent in the Underworld, many of the ones that live there are creations and cannot even procreate.
And those few that can, they seek out the opposite sex in order to procreate and nothing else. As always there are exceptions,
but in 99 out of 100 cases this applies.
On the other hand, angels value affection in most if not all forms.
Living together with all that it brings is very common, but breeding does still not happen often.
Since angels are immortal they do not see time the same way the mortal races do, waiting half a hundred years between each child is not uncommon at all.
