The point is that every person listens to music differently. Some like complexity, some - calmness and pleasantness, some - relevant lyrics, some - original ideas and so on. For me it really depends. Mainly I listen to instrumental jazz and blues (this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cBR8cYqJUw, for example, is one of my favorite performances ever) for their feeling of freedom and a range of ideas (personally, I think, instrumental jazz is what classical music became by now). Should I call everything else a "not music" or "primitive s**t"? Not at all.
